MTBE Complex

This grassroots project involved the construction of a MTBE Plant with a production capacity of 500.000 tons per year of 99 % purity MTBE from the processing of n-butane and isobutane. The MTBE plant included three units: one MTBE unit under Snamprogetti license, a Deisobutanization/Isomerization unit under U.O.P license and a Dehydrogenizing unit under Houdry- Catof license. The plant was built in the Jose Petrochemical Complex and the Project included all facilities and services. This Project was executed in a Consortium with Snamprogetti.
