METHANOL PLANT

The Supermetanol Plant was very successful and developed under the highest quality standards, it exceeded all targest set as the result of a joint effort by Supermetanol’s Project Management, Tecnoconsult and Snamprogetti:

• The project was executed under budget
• Mechanical completion was achieved three months ahead schedule
• The project earned significant savings

The design incorporated state-of-the-art technology, achieved an environmentally clean operation, and optimized the use of the thermal energy generated by the process.

The consortium was responsible for constructing a 2,000-mt/day grassroots methanol plant under the license from Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI). The project included four main sections: Desulphurizing and Natural Gas Saturation, Reforming and Cooling Synthesis Gas, Mthanol Synthesis and Product Purification; together with the construction of the utilities, storage, and flare
