JOSE FERTILIZER PROJECT

The Fertilizer Plant Project was the largest in the world. Located in Jose Petrochemical Complex, Anzoategui State in Venezuela, the grassroots project involved the construction of a Plant with two identical production lines, each with an ammonia, a urea unit and a granulation unit, together with other process units, power generation, utilities, and infrastructure. The plant produces a total of 3,600 tons/day of ammonia, which is used to prepare fertilizers; and of urea 2,200 tons/day each line, for the manufacturing of agricultural fertilizers and synthetic resins.

Snamprogetti contracted the services of Tecnoconsult to jointly execute the Engineering, Procurement and Construction activities of this project, which were completed in 33 months
