HSD UNIT EXPANSION

The project involved the revamping of two hydro sulfuric plants, arrangement of all tie-ins and associated facilities at the Amuay Refinery, Venezuela, within sour water and sulfuric units. This project was part of a larger link-up between Amuay and Cardon R refineries through three multiple-product pipelines to provide the two refineries with greater operational flexibility. The scope included: arrangement of all tie-ins, pumps station and storage system, and product metering system, blocking relief and cleaning system.
