GLP 5 ULE PROJECT

TECNOCONSULT developed the detail engineering, procurement, construction inspection, and start-up for the revamp of ULE LPG-5 PLANT, located in the west region of Venezuela. This plant was designed to recover the LGN from Maracaibo Lake oil production. The new plant’s entire process consisted in the absorption, re-absorption, deethanizing, distilling, recompression and mechanical refrigeration systems. As a result the Complex was able to obtain approximately 168,000 BDP of NGL, acquired a facility with an estimated economic life of 15 years, and guaranteed the independence of the NGL extraction process at the LGP Plant.

TECNOCONSULT conducted the basic engineering review and process simulation, executed the detail engineering, undertook the purchasing of all major equipment, piping, instrumentation, raceways and bulk materials, and provided supervision of the construction works for the facilities involved:
