CAMBURITO-CAPARO HYDROELECTRIC DEVELOPMENT

Camburito-Caparo Development represented the greatest challenge of Tecnoconsult’s history. It was the largest civil engineering project in the western region of Venezuela, including the construction of two dams that would result in a reservoir of 11,700 hectares, 310 meters above sea level, and with a storage capacity of 5,600 million cubic meters. Tecnoconsult participated in the basic and detail engineering design, supervision and inspection of the construction of the La Vueltosa and Borde Seco dams, treatment of biodisturbed layers of the Borde Seco dam, design of La Vueltosa power plant and 400 kV substation and transmission lines, access roads 28 km in length: route selection, pavements, drainage, bridges and an 800-m long tunnel
