AMANA COMPRESSOR PLANT EXPANSION PROJECT

The project consisted in the installation of new compression train and the associated services at Amana Compressor Plant. The Amana Compression Plant is a part of the Amana Operative Complex located in Monagas State in Venezuela. The complex compresses all the natural gas recovered from the oil production facilities, in the neighboring areas, to be transported and re-injected into the same oil fields to maintain the specific level of pressure and to keep responsibly a natural non-renewable resource.

The Amana Gas Compression Project included: the increment of the gas compression capacity to 285 MMSCFD, by increasing the design operational capacity of the three existing compression units from 63 MMSCFD to 95 MMSCFD, increment of turbine power from 12100 HP ISO Mars 90 to 15000 HP ISO Mars 100the construction of the new installation of two compression trains of 95 MMSCFD for a total of 190 MMSCFD, and the associated services to the units.
