The company was the first engineering consulting firm registered in Venezuela in 1967, when it started its activities in the electrical sector to develop later as the leader in oil, petrochemical and energy sectors.
Tecnoconsult was founded as a multidisciplinary company engaged in engineering, growing throughout the following years, to become the leader in managing large, complex projects and to be one of the few Venezuelan engineering and construction companies that has executed some of the most important projects towards the economic development of the country.
The company began serving the power generation and transmission sector and in 1972 entered the Hydrocarbon area. In that decade Tecnoconsult continued to expand its business horizon undertaking projects in mining, metallurgy, manufacturing and infrastructure.
During the 1990s, Tecnoconsult started using electronic design, a major advance in its technological platform, and adapted itself to the new client demand for global engineering, procurement and construction projects.
